Hiring Full Time Chef

Our client at WARRNAMBOOL Vic 3280, seeks a full-time CHEF to join their team. 

As a CHEF you will have high standards in food production and deliver consistent, honest and delicious food to our patrons.

We are offering you a salary package of $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation.

We seek an applicant who:

1. Has experience in putting high quality food on the pass, and maintains high standards for
2. each and every meal
3. Has strong team player skills with the ability to create a motivating environment
4. Experience cooking in different sections as part of a kitchen team
5. Has no issue with following directions
6. Understanding of food health, safety and handling procedures
7. Is an excellent multi-tasker with good initiative 
8. Possesses a demonstrable passion for food
9. Has excellent inter-personal skills, maintaining a calm demeanour in high-pressure situations and uses these traits to perform well in a team
10. Is open to having input into the chef suggestions menu and on-going dish development
11. Seeks to further their skillset and food knowledge by showcasing local produce 

Your responsibilities in the kitchen will include but not limited to:

1. Prepare and cook foods for dining and function services
2. Prep the kitchen to adequate stock levels
3. Check deliveries of stock, putting stock away ensuring stock rotation at all times
4. Ensuring freshness and quality in the ingredients and preparation of meals
5. Maintaining and enforcing hygiene regulations and examining equipment for cleanliness
6. Food stocktaking procedures and waste management
7. Day to day temperature check
8. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and adhere to the cleaning kitchen schedule
9. Work within a team of kitchen staff during service

The role on offer is full time and will sit within an established team. The position requires a qualified chef with a Certificate III & IV of Commercial Cookery with at least two years’ experience working in the hospitality industry, in particular working in busy kitchens.
