Qualified Cook

We are looking for a qualified cook who is reliable, dedicated and works well individually and in a team environment to assist in the day-to-day cooking operations of our busy restaurant and Petrol Station- BP Nyngan (Nyngan Truck & Travel Stop)

It features high-quality modern multi-cuisine, with an emphasis on fabulous, fresh Dishes. This role is for a passionate cook who holds Australian equivalent qualifications in commercial cookery and is willing to work in our restaurant located in Nyngan. This is a full-time permanent position that requires availability across 38 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

• preparing and cooking varieties of meals as per recipes provided
• instructing and assisting other cooks
• training apprentices and kitchen staff when required
• Ordering stock through various suppliers
• working with the head chef for big events and following management's instructions
• inspecting food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
• Monitoring & promoting kitchen hygiene & safety practices, Understanding of OH&S and Food Hygiene requirements. 

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Certificates III  and  IV in Commercial Cookery
• Ensure a high standard in the areas of health and safety, meal delivery and presentation

Annual Salary for the qualifying candidate is $ 60,000 - 70,000 plus superannuation.
